Visitors to Patagonia should end their trip at the Clos Apalta Winery and Casa Lapostelle Guest Houses in Chile's "idyllic" central valley, say Elle. Alexandra Marnier-Lapostelle, whose family owns Grand Marnier and Château de Sancerre, is the visionary behind this remote, biodynamic winery. "Stay in one of four houses nestled in the preserved woods, eat fresh salmon, horseback ride or just absorb the quality of the night." [Elle]  DailyCandy advises in the attached travel review of Chile, "Ride horses with a huaso (Chilean cowboy) and drink to your corazón’s content on a whirlwind tour of the region’s best vineyards: Viña Casa Silva, Viu Manent, and MontGras.

DailyCandy calls the Atacama Desert — "the most amazing landscape in South America.  [Make your] home base... the new Alto Atacama, located in the middle of a canyon. To-do list: Valley of the Moon at sunset, Tatio Geysers, stunning Salar de Tara salt flats. Plus majestic volcanoes, multicolored lagoons, hot springs, and tiny pre-Hispanic settlements. Hola, cute little vicuñas and flamingos."  For a cool travel itinerary for Chile, read the attached, September 2009 DailyCandy review.
