The FT calls Grand Hotel Quissana, "The most famous hotel in town – popular with the jet set and, since it’s right in the centre, good if you have any mobility issues." Capri's only hotel with exclusive access to the beach got a modern facelift and a new name. Formerly the venerable 1885 Hotel Palatium, it's now J.K. Place Capri. Most of the 22 rooms and suites have ocean views and incredible tilework. Amazing views!

Generally considered to be one of Capri's best places to stay. This 53-room villa-turned-hotel stands 1,000 feet above the sea, with a mind-blowing vista over the Bay of Naples and towards Mount Vesuvius. Its terrace is a great spot for drinks.

Buzzy new restaurant on Capri by Tonino Cacace, owner of the Capri Palace Hotel & Spa, who wanted "to create a restaurant that would interpret the traditional Mediterranean ambiance of the '50s and '60s." Town & Country's editor-in-chief Pamela Fiori says the food at Il Riccio is "delicious." Closed in the winter months.

Vanity Fair's award for "the best pizza." "The crust is transparently thin and crisp, slathered with mozzarella and fresh tomato, then topped with a handful of peppery arugula. Da Giorgio is an old-fashioned trattoria in Capri -- no nonsense, no pretension, just glorious views of the Bay of Naples."
