Cradle Mountain Lodge provides family-run, cosy accommodations in a substantial area (1.38 m hectares--20% of the island) listed by World Heritage for the past 24 years. "In the lodge, there had been a log-burning stove in the bedroom, wallabies at the window and two young wild devils gambolling outside the restaurant."
