New, super-plush hotel in Hong Kong, located on the top 13 storeys of an 1980s tower on Pacific Place (fantastic views).   In the attached review of the Upper House hotel, Claire Wrathall writes for the FT,  "it’s an understated, uncluttered scheme that’s both serene, yet somehow solid and enduring. Great attention has been paid to the areas of a room you might reasonably want to read or work in: the desk, the L-shaped sofa in the window or the blissfully comfortable bed are well lit, and, better yet, easily controlled by panels of switches by the door as well as set into both bedside tables. But then this is a hotel that seeks to innovate through technology. Motion sensors ensure that guests are never disturbed by housekeeping when they are in their rooms....This is an exceptional hotel."   [Financial Times]
