New York City
The Standard New York
Vanity Fair writes about the Standard New York, "The latest creation from André Balazs is a New York branch of his modish Standard hotels. Rising from one of the city’s most sought-after sites, in the heart of the Meatpacking District, two glass-curtain slabs literally jump the tracks of the High Line, the old freight railroad that’s been transformed into a park on stilts." Read all about this new super-hotspot in the attached Vanity Fair article. In May 2009, Vogue announced the launch of Ayabel, the hotel's "chic new boite" offering a simple grill menu and vintage drinks titled after New York City pools. In the attached August 2013 travel review, Elle selected the Standard as one of its top 5 NYC hotels. If you're curious about the High Line, click here to read the FT's review.
